DESCRIPTION OF GOODS AND SERVICES
Scalliwags Costume Hire is a business in the party industry that markets party related goods, including party décor / party hats / party wigs, and fancy dress costumes.
DELIVERY POLICY
Subject to availability and receipt of payment, requests will be processed within 24 hrs and delivery confirmed by way of e-mail.
All goods are delivered using a door-to-door courier service – The Courier Guy – within South Africa. A flat rate charge of R125.00 will be automatically charged at checkout.
FOR LARGER ORDERS OR AREA SURCHARGES, WE WILL NOTIFY YOU WITH ADDITIONAL COURIER CHARGES IF APPLICABLE.
EXPORT RESTRICTION
Products on this website are available to South African addresses only.
RETURN AND REFUNDS POLICY
The provision of goods by Scalliwags Costume Hire is subject to availability. In cases of unavailability, Scalliwags will refund the client in full within 30days. In the event of cancellations, an administration fee of 5% will be levied.
Scalliwags undertakes to ensure that all goods dispatched are in good order and are exactly what has been ordered, according to what is offered on the website.
Should there be any reason for items to be returned, please take note of the following:-
- Items returned must be received in new and unused condition and not missing any items (including the original unopened packaging).
- Any return received with missing items or without original packaging will not be credited.
- No refunds can be given on the original shipping costs.
- An administration fee of 5% will be deducted from the refund.
- Any fees incurred for returns are for the cost of the purchaser, unless the fault is deemed to be that of Scalliwags Costume Hire.
- For hygiene purposes – certain items are not able to be returned / refunded. These include, but are not limited to stockings and thigh highs, wigs, hats, face paint, hairspray, masks.
CUSTOMER PRIVACY POLICY
Scalliwags shall take all reasonable steps to protect the personal information of users. For the purpose of this clause, “personal information” shall be defined as detailed in the Promotion of Access to Information Act 2 of 2000(PAIA). PAYMENT OPTIONS ACCEPTED
Payment may be made via Visa, Mastercard or Diners credit cards, or by bank transfer into Scalliwags Bank account, the details of which will be provided on request.
CREDIT CARD ACQUIRING AND SECURITY
Credit card transactions will be acquired for Scalliwags Costume Hire via Paygate Pty Ltd who is the approved payment gateway for Standard Bank of South Africa. Paygate uses the strictest form of encryption, namely Secure Socket Layer 3 (SSL3) and no credit card details are stored on the website. Users may go to www.paygate.co.za to view their security certificate and security policy.
CUSTOMER DETAILS SEPARATE FROM CARD DETAILS
Customer details will be stored by Scalliwags Costume Hire separately from the card details which are entered by the client on Paygate’s secure site. For more details on PayGate refer to www.paygate.co.za
MERCHANT OUTLET COUNTRY AND TRANSACTION CURRENCY
The merchant outlet country at the time of presenting payment options to the cardholder is South Africa. Transaction currency is South African Rand (ZAR).
RESPONSIBILITY
Scalliwags Costume Hire takes responsibility for all aspects relating to the transaction regarding goods sold on this website, customer service and support, dispute resolution and delivery of goods.
COUNTRY OF DOMICILE
This website is governed by the laws of South Africa and Scalliwags Costume Hire chooses its domicilium citandi et executandi for all purposes under this agreement, whether in respect of court processes, notice, or other documents or communication of whatsoever nature, 37 Penzance Street, New Redruth, Alberton, Gauteng, 1449.
VARIATION
Scalliwags Costume Hire may, in its sole discretion, change this agreement or part thereof at any time without notice.
